Becoming a Member at LUMC

Making the decision to join a local congregation is a serious one and we, too, take that decision seriously.  At LUMC, we are more focused on making Disciples of Christ than we are on increasing the number of members on our membership list.  We welcome all individuals into our church family but membership is NOT a requirement for attendance or to participate in the life of the Church!

We offer Newcomer Classes several times each year and invite any individual interested in learning more about The United Methodist Church and in particular LUMC to attend.  Membership is always optional, even if you attend the Newcomer Classes.  If you are not a current member but wish to find opportunities to grow in your faith and serve Christ, we encourage you to attend our next class. You will learn more about our congregation and denomination, as well as discover your spiritual gifts and talents, and how they can be used to share God’s love and grace to our community and throughout the world.
